1. Nah-nah nah-nah, nah-nah nah-nah...
...wey-hey-hey, Good bye Harper.

Just when I thought the Harper minority government might just squeak through another calendar year, the Cadman revelations turn up. Even staunch tory supporter friends of mine have had enough, and when a new poll reveals most Canadians side with Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty (who, miraculously, has learned how to govern) in saying the Harper government is playing partisan politics with the national finances, I'd say the Harper government isn't long for this world. I don't want to see another Liberal majority, but another minority government would be acceptable.

2. The last few days I'm hearing all the so-called pundits...
...parsing the hell out of everything and it is really ridiculous.

Listen to the fucking audio tape. Listen to it.

Case closed.

It's not open to interpretation. The Conservatives tried to make a dying man decide between his political principles and creating a nest egg for his family after he died. It is not only disgusting, it is a violation of the criminal code.

3. Donna Cadman has just made a statement which helps Harper.
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 01:44 PM by glarius
I just heard Robert Fife on CTV say that Donna Cadman has just made a statement that she met with Harper in 2005 and asked him about the offer made to her husband. She says she looked into his eyes and saw that he was telling the truth when he said that he knew NOTHING ABOUT IT)! Does this have a familiar ring? (George Bush and Putin.)
Looks like Smarmy Steve is going to wiggle out of this one too.
One wonders why she didn't say this is the first place, when she made it known what her husband had said.

5. I heard some more of her statement......she says that she knows Harper
was unaware of what was proposed and that she admires and respects him. (not exact quote but words to that effect). She says she wouldn't be running as a Conservative if she didn't believe he was telling the truth. It's starting to get pretty murky.
