Harper better than Obama on Afghanistan
I can't believe that Harper's position on Afghanistan is now closer to my own view of what needs to happen than what Obama says he plans to do there.

Here we have an unrepentant Bushite -- Harper -- talking sensibly about how military victory over the Taliban is impossible.

Meanwhile, the man who defeated Bush in large part because he said he would end the war in Iraq, has adopted an aggressive, Bushian military approach to Afghanistan.

This is a bizarre and unexpected turn of events.

I think I will poll this group on this.

1. In my opinion the smarmy Harper is just saying what he
thinks will bring him up in the polls. He'll say or do anything to get a majority in the next election. I don't believe ANYTHING he says. I just hope the Canadian people are not fooled by him. If he ever gets a majority we won't know what hit us....he'll act so fast to make Canada over in his image!

Harper was one of those that wanted to "kill the scumbags".

He has no intelligence other than what will give him votes. Simple as that.

Harper brought in this idea in an election. He needed Quebec. Simple as that.
He now doesn't have to worry about anyone attacking him from the right. He has his ground.
His actions are not for the benifit of Afghanistan nor Canada. It is for Harper!

Obama on the other hand has to stop the disintegration in the whole region. I have to wait for my decision on him.

I don't have to wait for my understanding on Harper.

He will shift with the wind, so he has to prepare his followers accordingly.

6. Harper is a sociopath - watch his eyes
.
.
.

He will do and say whatever works for HIM

Do NOT underestimate a sociopath

They are above average intelligence

and clever as hell

They are the type that can sell refrigerators to Eskimos

Don't underestimate Harper. As much as I detest him,

He's one smart cookie . .
