My interest rate is currently 9.9%. My latest statement says they're increasing that rate to 14.9% in May.

I've been at 9.9% with them for years, so this is a bit of a surprise. I thought that anyone else with such a card might want to double-check their latest statement, too.

3. Don't Have The Card

Receiving at least an invitation every two weeks awhile ago, I took to mailing back some material in their envelope. It seems that the soliciting has died down now, somewhat.

One measure that could be taken, and I think would be very easy, is that that the card companies would have to pay 2%, 3% or some formula, less than their charge rate to people carrying a positive amount in their account.

But the answer to your question is no. Why on earth carry a debt with a card when you get next to nothing on a savings account?

Beats me.
