Canada's 'inferiority' a Freudian slip
OTTAWA—He came to Canada from the United States, observed the culture around him, and issued his psychological diagnosis. This country, he declared, is suffering from an “inferiority complex.”

No, that’s not a reference to revelations in this week’s wave of leaked U.S. diplomatic cables from Canada, which came courtesy of WikiLeaks and prompted yet another round of navel-gazing over Canadian feelings of inadequacy.

Historically, this is nearly a century-old pastime.

In fact, long before former U.S. ambassador David Wilkins and his staff were trying to grapple with Canada’s alleged inferiority problems in the early part of the 21st century, this country and its esteem issues were a subject of cultural curiosity as far back as the early 20th century.

Nothing new. Just the same old requirement to maintain a low cost for resources.

Eventually to lead to the break up of North America.

2. Well
I would say that Republicans are quite absent here as well. There don't seem to be many waffles' around either.

3. "It"...

...meaning "an inferiority complex" is what I'm NOT seeing in Canadians who participate at Democratic Underground. But you're right, there are very few Republicans.

"Waffles"...not so sure.
