1. Skin, I just called my bank and asked them if

I needed a passport and/or valid travel plans to exchange dollars for sterling and they gave me a "HUH?" response. Apparently there is no RULE in place - so it sounds like this place is just being a pain in the arse.

I'm in the US, btw.

I don't usually exchange much if any currency here - it's easier (and cheaper) to get cash there - but I have done it a few times at my bank (the last time was in November last year).

I went to the Post Office to buy some Euros this morning but ended up being pinned down by sniper fire in the bus shelter for half an hour.

Oh no, actually what happened was I bought an EDP and four bread rolls. Easy mistake to make. Nearly as easy as that whole Iran Al Quieda business. I think we may all be doomed.
