Suspensions over vote fraud claim
Two election officers at Birmingham City Council have been suspended following allegations about uncounted postal votes.

Police visited the election office on Tuesday and removed hundreds of postal vote forms relating to local elections held last May.

Council chief executive, Lin Homer, said a verbal allegation about uncounted votes had been received.
...
Ms Homer added that in accordance with normal city council internal procedures, two officers had been suspended from duty as a consequence of the allegations made.
