What jobs are there for a monolingual American in Latin America
besides teaching English?

I'm a good writer with a soils degree.

Thoughts? Feelings? Suggestions?

1. I'm in Euope, not South America
But even so, the chances of someone speaking only English getting a decent job in South America
are about as good as those of someone speaking only Portuguese in the United States. You MIGHT
be able to find something, but your prospects are severely limited.

2. For a monolingual American?
Not much. You'd have to go to Belize, Jamaica, Guyana, or other English-speaking areas.

Seriously, Spanish isn't that difficult, and since there are about twenty countries that speak Spanish, you'd better learn that first.
