KERRY OWES IT TO AMERICA TO FIGHT ON
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:15 AM by BayStateBoy
After all, seriously what do we have to lose by demanding a full counting or a recount?

Are we afraid of more Bush Barbs?

I say no concession until everything is thoroughly counted. So what if it pisses some people off.

DEMOCRACY IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FAST. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FAIR

And we and Kerry-Edwards need to see that happens. If we can't prove fraud, and Bush "wins," OK. But I say fight on.

Your comments please?

How did the Exit Polls correspond with the Tallies? Any summary?

Isn't it strange that so very many on both sides, including Repugs like Tucker Carlson, conceded a Kerry victory and then the machines are telling us otherwise? Anyone smell anything wrong here?

1. Edit out the NOT in your title, or change FIGHT ON to CONCEDE.

4. Fight on. That will be easy with all 3 branches still RED. However
we'll have to keep working for election reform at the municipal and state level. Maybe in a few generations the effect will ripple upward and we'll have a decent federal gov't.

5. We fight
We fight today... we fight tomorrow. We fight until every last ballot has been counted (and re-counted if necessary).

We fight.

We fight.

We pull the bastards kicking and screaming, if necessary.

We fight.

11. OF course something smells WRONG...
...so sad to think that our Fore Fathers fought for a free nation and we have - somewhere along the line (think hoover) - have become a nation for sale...

The 2004 Presidential Election was decided 4 years ago, not by the American People, but by the Republican Administration.

HOW COULD WE LET THIS HAPPEN PEOPLE?

12. How long did it take Afganistan to count ballots?
Why do we have to rush it overnight? Take as long as needed, but count them all!

13. This stinks to high heaven.
I don't think it's any coincidence that Florida and Ohio both have electronic, no paper trail voting, with exit polls showing a decent Kerry lead, suddenly turning for Buster.

None of this makes any sense. None of it...;(

17. Well, guess what? Kerry just caved in. COWARDLY BASTARD!
Senator Kerry, you promised to help us ensure that all our votes are counted. That was the most important promise of your campaign, and you reneged on it.

You, sir, deserve a special place in hell for being an accessory after the fact to the Bu$h crime family.

God help America. We need people like Howard Dean, who'll really fight, instead of a p*ssy who rolls over to everyone from the Smear Boat vets to KKKarl Rove.

18. I won't watch Kerry.
Iowa and New Mexico are still not decided.
All the votes in Ohio have not been counted.

Bush still does not have 270 electoral votes.

Why is Kerry in such a hurry to SURRENDER?

19. There's a chance that Kerry conceding is strategic.
One hopes that is the reason.

But whatever Kerry does, WE will have to fight for a return to democracy here harder than we have ever fought for anything.

20. You're so RIGHT! He should NOT have conceded OUR VOTES!!
There is just no way that this isn't an unfathomable betrayal, WORSE than the cheating!! He is handing us over to them!!

And No, the exit polls do NOT support the results the media are pushing!
See exit poll data out of the WaPost:

http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/elections/2004/graphics/exitPolls.html

Dem 38% Rep 35% Ind 26%

Dem: K90, B9

Repub: K7, B92

Ind: K52, B44

per 1000 voters: 380 Dem 350 Rep 260 Ind

Dems: K 342 B 34.2

Reps: K 24.5 B 322

Inds: K 135.2 B 114.4

Totals: K 501.7/1000 votes B 470.6/1000 votes

Bush should have fallen behind Kerry by 30 votes for every 1000 votes. No way should Bush have won the popular vote.

Also, they were NOT calling the blue states last night, even though exit polls were the basis on which they called the red states. They played with an 11% margin for Kerry in the NH exit poll forever before they ever awarded NH to Kerry, though just barely! I wrote Kerry's Website right away to tell them to recount NH as a demonstration of the problems in Ohio. It would have been quick and cheap. Who said they COULD "concede" OUR VOTING RIGHTS!
