mandate? all I see is blue=bluer; red=redder
do you take anything from this election OTHER than the blues getting bluer and the reds getting redder? I've always understood 'mandate' as meaning broad consensus.

Am I missing something here?

3. that's what I say. I was feeling so bad, then it dawned on me -
it still was 51-48 so where is the mandate? There is none, and believe you me, today I am feeling bluer, in more ways than one.
