1. Absolutely!!
And kudos to the 20% of Utahans, 36% of Texans, 45% of Arizonans, etc. who tried to come through for decency and truth.

2. Yup! Our margins were big enough that they couldn't pull off
stealing our electoral votes!

But they had their eyes on Ohio all along.

3. I am too. Especially happy that WI went with us in MN
The border battles are bad enough! I feel like they stole another one. I think eventually the country will wake up. Hopefully before it is too late.

4. But not MO
I keep thinking of moving to Canada, but maybe a first step would be to cross the river to IL. 'Course, SoIL has its share of rw nutjobs, but I'd have Chicago...and Senator Obama

6. I'm considering the same move....
...I have housing options available over the river, but my business is in Clayton predominantly. Anyone here from the east side that does the commute? It would be close enough that I could still see my kids as much as I do now, and it would be moving out of this state, which I'm increasinly loathing.

7. Well in Michigan we got beat up by that Gay Amendment thing
And the gambling deal. Guess people talk "morals' and "values" but what they really mean is they will sacrifice their young for the sake of an attitude of righteouness. Too bad.

Live for another day.

8. I got scammed by the gambling deal.
I thought I understood it -- "local control" instead of "only control" -- but I have not met ONE PERSON who voted yes on Prop 2. Perhaps I just hang with the wrong crowd.

10. Maybe I'll go to MN instead of Canada...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 04:18 PM by AimeeMM
I moved to Florida as a teenager in 1988 from Minnesota. My husband (native Floridian) and I have been considering moving as I will complete my MBA next month. We thought about MN to be closer to my family but nixed it due to the winters and decided just to switch coasts here in FL. Today we agreed to talk again in a week after everything has sunk because now MN winters sound much better than this ridiculous place. To think we would leave one of the few Democratic counties in FL for a Repug one.

If "values" are so damned important in this country, then its time I renew my midwestern ones.
