What is the status of our Daily Election thread editors?
Thank You to all our Election Reform Daily Thread Patriots who are the Media!!!:patriot:

The mods are changing and I am checking in with folks...
Next change comes after the holidays..
Who is doing okay and who needs help?
I can hang in there on Tuesdays? Anyone else?

Let's see how the regular troops are doing and if any of our old standyby folks want to come back and then we will post a general thread with our open slots.
Thanks for all you do!:applause::yourock::toast:

2. Hi there.

:)

Good that you post this. I was going to suggest to all that perhaps we should recruit more volunteers. There is soooo much news already, getting closer to election and predictably after the election will be just overwhelming. And we want to make sure we will cover every town, should there be news -

There should be at least 2 people each day - one that starts early and the other chips in later

Anyone for good karma points?
btw. google and voter activist e-mail subscriptions are your best friend for this - and of course reading other posts in our forum.

5. We had the least response ever last time.. It was tough just getting
the regular days covered. It was, however, the dead of summer...

I would love a creative person to volunteer to do the 'ask' thread that we stick in GD this time..
I'm happy to keep it kicked! Foger or Auto have been particularly good at these in the past..

11. Thanks kpete! We would all love some extra helpers. Perhaps, if
we all stay put and we don't have new slots to fill we can draw in some new recruits... An interesting strategy might be to let one's partner create the thread once in a while even if you do most of the work.. It would get their feet wet and allow them to have the honor of seeing Their Name on the greatest page which we have all had plenty of.. They could have the new experience and we might mentor ourselves some new editors!

12. I'm fine.
Typical guy response. Best friend moved to Australia, looking at a year of hard time, and wife & girl friend dumped me on the same day...I'm fine.

I have a couple of ideas.

1) For my Monday thread, if we ever get helpers, I'll take one. Independent_Liberal is kind enough to send me a bunch of *shadow government* stories, for which I'm grateful. I think I'll see if he wants to join in.

2) Monday is still a good day to do this but I'd like to ghost publish under 'kepete' or 'rumple' - one of those users that everybody really likes. I'll tone down the comments a bit so if either of you are into licensing your identifies, let me know.

3) On a more seriously note, we should do a project where we get every congressional district in the country covered on DU. I talked about this with somebody, Jack Rabbit, and I have not heard from him lately. I think I'll contact him. But how cool would it be...a clearing house for reports on results where there was some question or results where things went without a hitch.

Anyone here want to help on this? Lets talk about it here and then I'll do an OP on elections to come up with a model, then get some volunteers.

14. hi
just checking in. today - I have to drag myself to have a decent nights sleep -

totally fine with the ghost - simply manifest and I am here :)

and yes the congressional district thing sounds great. I was thinking of creating a nationwide data record of machines to be used for each county - when I posted the dismal LA county call for 'early voting'.

That way we can save a lot of time after the election- considering what we went through before, trying to get the data. So I think that can be combined -

and it looks like we have to be prepared to screen capture and download any and everything official, as I found the CA SOS no longer posts any of the actual data. - None - they probably moved it to an actual archive location, which will make it very difficult.

16. In most states, the SOS's site has county by county info
on the systems used, fyi.

18. hi, talking about reports on results and problems
as we know, they lie about the results. look at poor francine busby who conceded when there were 65000 of 150000 votes uncounted, election eve;)

i'm thinking of people who could email in results, real ones where they ask, how many uncounted ballots; and also controversial experience, claims or reports.

the sos sites are not accurte also.

take a look at this http://tinyurl.com/lh4zf SD CA 50th special election, these are absentees over a month after the election, not assigned to any real precincts...http://tinyurl.com/lh4zf

anyway, controversies, acusations, irregularities, and result (qualified by finding out how many uncounted). c

:hi:

17. If we do that, I want to move. lol
Good idea. I have to think about the best way to cover CA, though -- maybe set up a form and fill it in as the reports come in, then post the whole enchilada? We can think about it.

19. idea...
if we standardize a form, maybe we can get a tiny script to send it to an excel file on my web page, which would autormaticaly update the particular district on #'s at that moment and also controversies and links.

i can host this easily and excel is so cool minimal work, just updates. another place for written reports, maybe here. the excel could keekp the #'s etc. for further study.

we could get 100% of the 40 highly competitive districts and coverage as available after that. make sense???
