help !!!
Edited on Tue Feb-20-07 07:14 PM by stellanoir
I just went to my general store in dinky town in a deeply blue state to shockingly procure. . . cat food.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear but two enormous sparkling white (like storm trooper pristine white) vans parked in front of the store imprinted with a blue logo reading "Diebold, we won't give up."

My 13th generational maternal American blood started to rumble at a slow boil. I asked the clerk if there were any other customers in the store. She said, "no" and knew I was a regular so wasn't at all threatened by that particular inquiry.

There is an ATM next door.

I told her about Diebold and asked her for a piece of paper and I told her I didn't want a bag for my purchase. She asked me if my receipt was big enough. I said, "sure." I borrowed a pen and wrote, "Diebold steals elections and has trashed our democracy." She asked me to explain so I gave her an earful.

I foolishly asked the young lady if she thought I'd get in trouble for putting the receipt on their windshield. She said, "Nah, they've been parked there all day."

Whatdaya guys think??? Was it a totally idiotic move or an okay act of civil disobedience or just another extraneous act of littering?

It semi felt good but I'm a little conflicted about the potential littering thingy and know that the lackies in the van are hardly responsible for what their employers have done. Still I'm wobbly about it.

Thanks in advance.

Just kinda wondering.

3. Two answers:
a) Ya done good.
b) Naaaaah, you are not littering.

I don't mean to be flip, but these guys gotta know the controversy floating around their company.

12. You give me an idea
"Diebold steals elections and has trashed our democracy." I will leave a piece of paper, that says just that, every time I go to the drive up window at my bank.

You know that little carriage that you put your money in, to send it into the bank. When I am done with my transaction I will leave your message on a piece of paper in that carriage (I will get a bunch of them printed up), so that the next person reads it. Maybe you are on to something!!

I know for a fact my bank uses Diebold, Thank You for the idea. :)

13. How about this. . .
Reminds me of an urge I had that I didn't indulge shortly after the '04 election theft.

I was at the drive through at the bank and ya know when you're staring at something but your thoughts are altogether elsewhere. . .?

Waiting for the teller to process my transaction, I was staring at the drawer in an unfocused manner when all of a sudden, my focus sharpened on the drawer's logo. . .duh. . .duh. . .duh. . .It read "DIEBOLD."

I wanted to graffitize it and write "steals elections" Of course, one is always under surveillance cameras around banks and it would qualify as desicration of property.

I later thought it would be cool to have a massive campaign of writing "steals elections" on masking tape and afixing it on "DIEBOLD" logos around the country.
