Poll question: What do you predict the NH primary recount will show?
Here's a chance to go on record with your guess as to what we'll learn when the New Hampshire Democratic primary votes are hand-counted.

7. That's not my experience. It's more like half and half.
The recount in Ohio was funded by at least half of us screamers. lol

8. I predict,
The recount will be off one way or the other just enough not to make the machines look faulty.

Holt will start making the rounds on TV, speaking about HR811 and how important it was that we had those Paper Ballots in NH so we could do the recount. HR811 will get sold by showing the recount and pointing to organizations like moveon and their bogus petition saying 3.5 million people can't be wrong, we need HR811.

HR 811 will be pushed down our throats.

In the end the crooks will continue counting our votes in secret.

Hand Count the Ballots in the first place.

16. (Let the games begin) A Quick Fix for Electronic Voting
When Americans go to the polls in November, many will likely have to cast their ballots on unreliable paperless electronic voting machines. If the election is close, the country could end up with a rerun of 2000’s bitterly contentious and mistrusted count. In an effort to avoid another such disaster, Representative Rush Holt, Democrat of New Jersey, plans to introduce a bill this week that would help address the weaknesses in electronic voting. Congress should pass it without delay.

9. Hillary's lead will be reduced when the ballots are recounted.
When they are counted by hand.

12. It's intriguing to think
that maybe someone other than Hillary wanted her to do well here.

The other hypothesis that catches my interest is that both women and GLBT voters came out in unpredicted numbers for Hillary.

But my conjectures aside, thanks for your post.

13. Interesting question, Bill. They can't be TOO accurate,
because that would look crazy suspicious.

This is all very interesting.

Not definitive or final or absolute, but very interesting.

People have been told that any videotape will be confiscated.

19. I voted "other" because I have no idea what is going to happen...
That's why we are doing the recount!!!

What staggers me is the fierce opposition to recounts by people of our own party who have been burned by election fraud so many times. Talk about short-sighted!!!

20. I'm an optimist
I voted for no real difference between the counts, because I think was a polling thing and not a voting thing.

But, the fun part is, this time is I may actually be able to find out!

21. The correct answer is:
Okay, we don't know yet, but my own answer is that we will find that the machines are just crappy at counting ballots (in this case). They aren't really designed to just count ballots, because that would be fairly easy. Hell, my ATM can read my checks now! Handwritten checks, which it scans and posts totals on a screen for me to confirm or reject.

But these crappy and corruptible optiscams will fail, like the Bush administration, the basic competence test.

And that will be enough.

:)

22. Other: there will be some miscounts
...but the real payoff will be in exposing the government as having no clue and the vendor as having a mouth full of canary feathers.
