THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN ELECTION YEAR 2008.

VOTING MACHINES MALFUNCTION ON PRIMARY DAY IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Marline in News
1/21/2008

Well friends, do you remember the song by the Carpenters "We Only Just Begun"?

It looks like it's going to be the same old song with voting machine issues in this election. Problems with voting machines are steadily on the rise and we only just begun.

For example, in South Carolina where I reside the State is using the E-machines which were banned in Colorado and Ohio and malfunctions are already being reported in South Carolina today on the Republican Primary Day. Reports have been stating that electronic voting machines are not working and paper ballots are not available. It's been noted that some voters are being turned away and instructed to return at a latter time. There is one report that poll workers in Horry County, SC told CNN that the voting machines have been down since polls opened Saturday morning throughout the county, the machines are not reading an activation card.

CNN has been told the county has about 100 precincts and all have been affected. From what I read CNN is awaiting a call back from the county's election supervisor.
