Ok guys, here are some patterns that deserve attention
1.- An Coulter endorsing (for all intents and purposes) Hillary Clinton

2.- The media playing king maker for BOTH party candidates.

3.- Capable candidates swept by a "horse race" mentality... ah George Orwell would be proud...

4.- What seems to be a GOP in disarray.. operative word SEEMS...

They are up to their games again.

Folks I will not be surprised at all if the Pugs "win" in 2008. In fact, I expect it. And the games are many , from ahem, malfunctioning equipment... all the way to the old classics, such as caging and other disenfranchisement efforts. All I can say is... the coming elections will NOT be clean.

Of course, it does not matter how open we keep our eyes... our national party keeps sleep walking through history and at this point, I think it is on purpose... What is true is that I will vote and hot damn it, make them work to steal it.. but I no longer count on it being counted the way I casted it.

Sad, but that is the current state of affairs... and as long as our fearless leaders keep sleep walking through this, as well as most voters... there is not much we can do to change it, even if we will keep the fight...

1. You know why the GOP really wants McCain their nominee?
If Hillary is our nominee (a 50/50 chance at this point) they win whether McCain wins or Hillary wins.

First the obvious, of course the best path for them is another GOP President, but the alternative, with Hillary as President, they believe they can be the ultimate winners in the years to come.

Despite the claims about Reagan, the GOP grew strongest across the country in response to Clinton being President in the 90's.

That was their golden time, with massive increases in fund raising and influence, taking control of Congress, governorships around the country, and in creating the machine that eventually led to a GOP President in 2001, and complete control of Congress in 2002.

Theres one little problem with their grand scheme.

They werent expecting that Hillary might not be the Democratic nominee.

4. I agree with a lot of what you say. --Here is another to add
to your list.

Sure the Democrats get a lot of coverage on TV for a change.
TV remember is where the American Voters get their information.

The Image of the Democratic Party given off every day is
not exactly what we would like.

First the public has a quizzical look. The Media and some
Democrats appear to be running the Clinton's out of the
Party. The Coverage of Bill does not automatically
make people like Obama. Instead, common sense people
wonder why Democrats do all their dirty laundry in public.
The Media look about as unprofessional as ever in my lifetime.
They continue to appear to prop up Obama as our Savior.
They never know how to be subtle.
The GOp are not discussed except to tell about how their
Candidates are doing. Lack of coverage for GOP probabley
makes them more attractive.

Sure the Provacteers (Activists) make throw out some "shocking
statement ie Coulter and Malkin.

Yes, you are on to something.

5. Between a rock and a hard place, good cop/bad cop, the ol' one-two
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 03:51 AM by mojowork_n
First, no matter what sort of circumstantial, anecdotal or mathematical evidence we can collect, the fact remains that in most states elections are privatized, the software's proprietary and secret, so the final tally numbers more accurately reflect the will of those running the election, than the voters', and/or would-be voters'.

Then to add insult to that injury, the whole apparatus of the Noise Machine cancels out every objection.

Facing the camera on the 24 hour news channels, and speaking in measured, plausible, complete sentences, the "good cops" reassure us that black is really white.

The incorporeal voices of the "bad cops", leaking from dashboard speakers up and down the roadway grid like an intellectual pollutant, the arrogant, bald-faced liars prey on the gullible and lazy, convincing them that white is really black.

# LIBERALISM - The second big issue of the century. Liberalism has become the religion of the modern world, and yet there has never been a liberal program which has worked. What is worse, liberalism is illogical and self-contradictory, and fits every ugly description which liberals use to smear their enemies. Here are some outstanding pieces by the Birdman on why the only good liberal is a dead liberal.
