Column: New Hampshire resident responds to voting column
Sbip...Second, the use of computers for voting, even as found in Venezuela, does anything BUT guarantee transparency in the voting process. Every study on computerized voting, be it optical scanners reading paper ballots, paperless touch screens or touch screens with paper printouts, points to a single conclusion: these privatized, corporate-owned computerized election systems have no place in a democracy.

Snip... The only path back to voting integrity is through a completely public, transparent voting system, supporting citizen oversight of the entire process with no corporate involvement at all. Today, this is only found in hand-counted, paper-ballot elections. On election night, the first count — the one that matters — is done in full public view right when the polls close. There is no question of ballot chain of custody or secret vote counting. This is the only solution.

Massachusetts has the exact same system and corporate players as has New Hampshire. Massachusetts citizens should be calling for the same change.

For more information about Mass/New Hampshire voting machines and their corporate ownership, see the YouTube video “The $700 Hack: Broken-Link Elections” here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lczdgKeHDVc.
