A book published this month should help with the insatiable appetites of WWII buffs like me.

The PAC Fleet led by Admiral Halsey finds itself in the middle of a Pacific Typhoon in 1944. Some excerpts about Lt Gerald Ford's heroic efforts onboard the USS Monterey.

"A courageous story of survival against impossible odds."

If you want to read a courageous story of survival may I suggest "FATAL VOYAGE" about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in July 1945.
