1. Does that mean no more Golden Compass?
Although how they were going to make the second one a children's movie when the main character is dripping blood through the entire story was unclear.

3. I think the film was part of the reason for their demise.

Along with Eragon, New Line kept creating expensive epics, trying to copy LOTR's magic. Didn't work

Which sucks because now The Hobbit seems to be in limbo, unless WB can do a quick turnaround :(
