TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: "30 Rock"

"30 Rock" season finale, 9:30 p.m., WDIV-TV, Local 4, NBC. The beauty of this show is its potential to go anywhere. Tonight, it heads to Washington. Jack (Alec Baldwin) now has a government job. He'll deal with Homeland Security and, he says, "the war on the poor." Liz (Tina Fey) hopes he means the War on Poverty. Jack also meets an overwhelmed bureaucrat, wonderfully played by Matthew Broderick.

2. Something interesting about Homeland Security

Being a U.S. citizen with the right qualifications isn't enough to get hired by an agency under DHS.

Depending on what agency you are applying for you must have lived in the U.S. for at least the past 3-5 years consecutively.

Customs/Border patrol is like 3 yrs
TSA/ Air Marshals is 5

Secret Service is like 3 i think.

If you look into it further "living" overseas is any time more than one month. So from day 31 onward you are disqualified.

This rules out people with vast overseas experience (study abroad, language/cultural knowledge, and various other skills).....like me lol
