For WATCHMEN fans
This pic appeared online today at http://www.aintitcool.com/node/36885 and has since appeared other places as well.

It's a pic of the 1940's forerunners of the Watchmen, the Minutemen.

Pictured Left to Right:The Silhouette, Mothman, Dollar Bill, Nite Owl (the original), Captain Metropolis, Silk Spectre (the original), Hooded Justice and The Comedian (kneeling).

Looks spot-on. Here's hoping Zach Snyder pulls it off and makes the best comic book-to-film ever.

2. The gal playing Silhouette (on the left)
I know her...was good friends with her back in the 1990's. Very interesting and creative soul. My best bud and I saw her for the first time at our local gym. We just admired her beauty from afar. After a while I was able to work up enough nerve to make first contact. Probably was done awkwardly, but persistence paid off. We became "howdy-buddies" at the gym. After a few convos, she showed my buddy and me some pics of her artwork. Truly amazing and spiritual. I commissioned her to make a small sculpture for my parents' anniversary. Really something to behold.

After a year, I moved out West but visited home in the summers. I told her all the good stories about life out in the West (Alberta & BC). Coincidentally (or not), she moved out West not too long afterwards and set out on a very interesting career in the arts (opera, acting, art) and other Western adventures. I haven't seen her since that summer visit in Ontario before she moved out West. (Now I'm back in Ontario) I wondered how she was doing...until I saw A Wrinkle In Time (the Disney movie) where I recognized her in a cameo. No mistaking that exotic and stunning face! My wife (who was one of her classmates in high school) didn't catch on that at first until I confirmed her identity on the internet movie database. Very cool to see someone that we knew doing really well!
