American Idol
I think Adam Lambert may be our next American Idol.

Last night he got a rare standing ovation from Simon Cowell. He has my vote as well.

Here is his version of Mad World, by Tears for Fears.

4. I think you may be right.
His first performance or two, I thought his falsetto was shrieky-squeaky, but the past few weeks, he's been dead on. And last night was fantastic. I didn't have a favorite going into last night, but I may have one now.

5. Thank you for posting this.
I had tivo(ed) A.I. last night and because the program was running late, it had stopped recording just before Adam's performance. I was disappointed that I didn't see it, but thanks to you, I was able to view it this morning. Kudos. (I really think Adam will win A.I., but my favorite is still Danny.)

8. Last year I stopped watching halfway through
as I had no favorite. I am so impressed with Adam though, wild horses cannot drag me away this season.

His Ring of Fire was better than the original, imho. And this song of last night had me in goosebumps.

9. I don't remember the last time I heard someone with vocal chops like
Adam. He is truly amazing. I also loved his ROF. I really hope that Adam wins, so that there will be an openly gay American Idol. How cool would that be?

10. The year of change
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I just hope the lunatic rightwingers don't find out about it. Did you know he cross dresses as well?

11. Billo the Clown showed a picture of Adam and his BF, the kissing one..
on his show. I saw that on the votefortheworst.com website yesterday. I think by now, most viewers KNOW that Adam is gay. He doesn't really hide it all that well. He tries though. Dear boy.

13. So, I was wrong
Although he has excellent vocals, much better than Kris Allen, he came second.

I think the average American is not ready for someone like Adam. However, I think he will become much bigger than Allen can ever hope to be. The music market is saturated with singers like Allen, while Adam is a fresh breeze and will be at home on the international stage.

14. This is the first season I didn't watch and I thought I'd feel like I was on the Moon
or something, reading everyone's imput before and after the decision, but it's weird- it was like nothing had been missed. I started to not enjoy the show last season. Do you look forward to it as much as before?
