34. There is a huge, even hypocritical difference, between FOX and FOX News.

FOX programming is some of the most progressive and envelope pushing on TV (always has been). Essentially the antithesis of their news network.

judges are capricious in their commentaries, and there is no way they couldn't have found higher quality vocalists out there during their search.

She's very young so this was a good chance for her to be seen by a lot of people early in her career. Adam, too, although he was already making a name for himself I think.

54. Contestants like Lil are half the entertainment for me. Glorified karaoke

singers who have no real stage experience or training. You can tell that Adam and Allison are experienced and trained. But I like the untrained ones so that I can see how long it takes for them to burn out. I called out Alexis Grace really early in the season. I've been waiting for Lil to burn out since she did that copy-cat Mary J. Blige. That was the first clue that she wasn't going to go far.

I watch movies on DVD and my favorite tv shows on dvd. American Idol is not my cup of tea (from what I've heard about it).
