I'm planning on attending the concert in Boston next month.

Any other fans of RJD or Sabbath (Heaven & Hell) here?

1. Alas, the closest they're coming to my area
(Raleigh NC) is Baltimore. That's what I get for reading the Bible Black.

4. That's too bad.
Could be worse. You could wake up lying naked in the rain.

5. Seen 'em twice already.

Once with Megadeth at The Forum.

Once with Judas Priest and Motorhead at Devore.

Might see 'em again this August (I think).

They kick mucho ass. That right there is one professional heavy metal rock band.

EDIT: Oh yeah, how could I forget? Once in 1982(?). Back then they were called 'Black Sabbath' and it was the Mob Rules tour.

6. Awesome! How do you think they sound today?
Haven't seen them yet. I'll be seeing them first time in August, but from the youtube videos and the CD, they sound fantastic. Professional, for certain.

And from all reports, they are as good as ever. Do you agree?

7. I absolutely agree.
And being in the room is always better than the recording. RJD's only firing at about 85%. But he's gotta be like 60 years old, right? Anyway, unless you're actively trying to hear it, it's lost in the echo (kinda like singin' in the shower...heh).

Like I said, they're pros. They totally know their shit, and they know their audience, and a wonderful time is had by all.

One of the best bands I've ever seen. If you love the music you WILL love this show.

8. That's good to hear. Can't wait!
I'm LMAO because now I'm thinking about RJD singing in the shower. It's early, my brain needs coffee. LOL!

I think he's supposed to be more like 67, which is very hard to believe. I'll settle for 85% gladly. 85% of Dio is better than 100% of just about anyone else I can think of.

Yes, they are pros. Each one a master at what he does. Should be a concert for the ages.

I do LOVE the music.

9. I caught a concert on VH1 Classics
and it was a really good show. I'd probably go see them if I was more familiar with the Dio-era Sabbath and their new album, which I think I'll pick up after hearing a couple cuts.

10. The album is really good.
"Follow the Tears" is a great song. "Bible Black" is excellent too. The entire CD is great listening. I never listened to Sabbath before Dio, other than a couple of old Ozzie classics, so I was ready for this band because I like Dio's voice. I don't think any of these guys is under 60 and they more than hold their own with anything else I've heard lately.
