"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi has made no secret of her love of food, and now the model has a reason to indulge in every craving – she’s pregnant.

The 39-year-old is expecting her first child, a rep for the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The news is joyous for the beauty as she suffers from endometriosis, which in some cases can lead to infertility.

“As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi’s privacy at this time,” Padma’s rep said in a statement to Us Weekly, which first reported the news.

As far as the surprise of her being 39 - what's up with that??? Shit, 39 is still a baby as far as I'm concerned. Okay, so I'm older than dirt - 61 - but geez, I had nude photos taken right before my 50th birthday, and I must say, they were pretty good. (now, now ... don't make fun of the old lady, it's not nice).
