I think it would be great if we got to hang out in person. We could have our debates, but also get beyond religious identities or lack-thereof and meet the people behind the position. I really love talking about religion, but there is more to me than that. You'd never know that from talking to me in here. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that it is the same for most everyone in here too. If there is ever a DU convention, a special meeting of the R/T forum is entirely in order, but we could do it on our own, too.

Does that sound like something you'd be interested in?

4. Honestly, I don't think its a bad idea.

I know that if I met any of the people here who hate me, they quite simply wouldn't hate me anymore. But I doubt I could meet up with any of you, not anytime soon. I'm way to poor to go anywhere. Someday, if DU is still around (and why wouldn't it be, right?) I'll go to a DU meetup.

It means a lot. Really. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just this giant asshole whose posts everyone just skips over. Of course, maybe that's why I'm up on your list :evilgrin: I would love to have a meet up sometime. I think all of us in one bar would create some kind of vortex or something.

Seriously...nobody wants to come here, even if the beer (which I don't drink much of, incidentally) is pretty good. Driving to here sucks (who wants to drive through Saskatchewan...*shivers*...think about the worst roads in michigan, then crush them to pieces with heavy machinery...thats getting close to how bad the roads are) and the airport does not have many international flights.

Hell, I don't even own a car, so driving anywhere else isn't easy for me.

I'll make it to a DU meetup eventually...it might be possible (maybe) within the next year (next fall?), or the summer of 2008 if people are still around. Until then, I'm pretty fucked, lol.

Still, eventually I will meet some of you, if you like it or not!
