Baptist Pastor charged with raping and impregnating 13 year-old girl

A BAPTIST pastor in Papua New Guinea will face court next week charged with raping a 13-year-old village girl.
Oti Bagiro, 26, from Warezaira village in Morobe Province was charged after allegedly sexually assaulting the girl repeatedly between June and September 2006.

Mr Bagiro allegedly had sex with her on four occasions in church grounds, bushes and a health clinic where she had gone to look after a sick relative.

PNG's newspaper The National reported Bagiro impregnated the girl, who has since given birth, and had each time offered her 20 Kina ($A8).
