My thoughts on Christianity?
Christianity as we know today is the bastard child of a religion that is hard. Made easy by sit your ass in this seat and your saved. I believe that it is about Christ Consciousness. Him what is that? To me he was more like a person that broke the code. Like Buddha he broke the code. What Christ's initial followers decided was that it was way to hard to sell too everyone. So they made it easy. The kick of the whole thing is Christ's way was much easier.. Be a good person. Choose the right choices. We are on a ride people make it enjoyable. Don't think that Christ Consciousness is easy, because look at all the shit that goes on in the world. It is hard to be a good person all day long. I try hard everyday.

Is that so wrong?
I like it.... it makes my life good.

1. I'm an atheist, but...
the Jesus story has definitely made an impact on my life. I'm talking 'Sermon on the Mount', not the other stuff. I don't think there's anything wrong with striving to live The Golden Rule, which pre-dated Christ, BTW. I also like The Buddha. Some atheist, eh?

4. The Trinity
The Father or Mother:I don't care which. Parents have it hard they have even more crap flying around to worry about.

The Son or Daughter: Again either could be said. Full of life and potential start out as just being good people. Then we humans start attaching labels on. To be able to break through our life time of worries and crap is hard

The Holy Ghost: God Conciousness that I am sure would be like being able to see past all of it. To be able to stop space & time and be able to see it all. Why everything works and being able to change it.

5. A lot of Buddhists are atheists. Myself included.

Buddhist teacher Ajahn Brahm talks about how we should have outgrown the need for a big daddy in the sky: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpeNJx7pctY

7. Maybe in some of the superstitious cultural overlays
that have contaminated the Buddha's simple teachings in various cultures. But not in any of the original texts. They are merely ordinary humans who have attained enlightenment, and then devote their time to teaching others how to do the same.
