1. I don't understand

why you would post this in the Religion/Theology forum. You have every right to disagree, think that other's beliefs are ridiculous, or even hate those beliefs. But what is the point of this post, in this forum?

I mean it's one thing co-opting a bunch of pre-exisiting myths and festivities and wrapping them up in new verbiage, but at least change the fricking name folks! I mean come on naming the supposedly holiest and most significant celebration of your religion after a heathen goddess is a bit of a giveaway guys!


Incidentally yes I am perfectly aware this is a vagary of the English language. However pedants should ask themselves which language is the one we are all using to communicate with each other right now before they raise that point...
