Fischer Says Muslims Should Either Convert To Christianity…Or Die
Yesterday, Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association wrote in his blog that since “tyranny is in the DNA of Islam,” the only way for democracy to emerge in a Muslim country is for the U.S. to bring about “a mass conversion of its people to biblical Christianity.” On his radio show Focal Point, Fischer reiterated his belief that the U.S. “should be sending missionaries in right after we send in the Marines,” warning that if Muslims refuse to convert: “This time it’s Marines and missionaries, next time it’ll be Marines and missiles.”

12. Umm - the First Amendment applies to the USA
The article states that the religious wacko wants Muslims in other countries to convert or die. The key is "other countries". Our Bill of Rights and the Constitution itself applies to the USA only. But I agree that the policy he advocates is bat-shit crazy.

15. Oh, holy saints and blessed martyrs, Bryan, do try to get a grip! If you're really determined
to adopt some medieval view, let me suggest that you might study a certain Francis of Assisi, who originally started to train as a soldier but then entirely set aside his militarism

Francis of Assisi (like you, Bryan) thought the Muslims were wrong, but (unlike you, Bryan) he had so much courage in his reading of the gospel, that in 1219 (in the middle of one of the crusades!) he walked unarmed into the Muslim camp at Damietta to speak with them -- and he impressed them enough that he was granted an audience with the sultan

16. According to my calendar, Christianity managed to encourage
tyrannical governments between the Age of Constantine and the Enlightenment, almost 15 centuries. Islam hasn't even been around that long.

19. I sometimes listen to "Fecal Point"
On local Fundie radio here in Los Angeles. Since the tourist season is approaching, simply tune that rental-car radio to 98.7 FM, KKLA...and as I always point out, they just need one more "K" in that call sign to make it accurate. It's funnier than any comedy channel. The only problem is, I get tired of screaming "asshole!" at the radio...

Fecal Point is one of several shows sponsored paid for by the AFA on Fundie stations (which mostly seem to be owned by the conglomerate Salem Communications, for future boycotts.)

The AFA morning show was a lot more fun when James "Dog-Beater" Dobson hosted. Dobson seemed obsessed with teen sex, especially gay-male teen sex. I always thought the old perv was about one sinful thought away from an Amber Alert. Now the show is hosted by the current Pres. of AFA and some goofy woman who's always going off into loud and tearful exhortations about Jesus.

The commercials are also interesting. Mostly "credit repair," mortgage re-fi and goldbuggery scams, plus lots of "natural remedy" quackery. Oh, and commercials for interesting camps to which Xians can ship off their rug-rats who are "willful children."

Fuck.

I file that under "crimes against humanity."
