Santorum: God's Law And Civil Law Must Be The Same

So, to clarify: In Islam, God's laws and the civil laws are one-and-the-same and that is theocracy and that is bad ... whereas here in the United States, our civil laws merely must be in accordance with God's law, and that is not theocracy and that is good.

And until that happens, Santorum says, this country will never have rest.

It's a reality across the nation. Ask any LGBT person or woman who has little or no access to reproductive health care, for starters. Just because they haven't been able to thrust the entire Bible into our legal system doesn't mean they haven't made great strides in wrangling parts of it in.

To each their own when it comes to religion or a lack thereof, but I sure as hell don't want the right wing's version of religion to be law. No religion should be law, really. I think we have rules about that, don't we? Sometimes, I wonder why no one is following those rules any more. Separation of church and state is still a good idea, if we could get politicians to remember that part...and that is a BIG IF.
