NFC East News: Injuries Strike Cowboys Camp
from the article

Projected starting cornerbacks Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins were injured on Saturday, bringing a scare to the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp less than one week before the preseason opener against the Oakland Raiders.

Neither injury is considered serious — Newman suffered a strained groin and Jenkins a sprained right ankle. Both are listed as day-to-day.

1. I consider little injuries like this good...
limits the starters playing time in meaningless pre-season games. They'll be ready for the opener.

2. I'm not worried about Jenkins, but Newman,
as good as he is, has been plagued by injuries the last few years. He's getting older too and seems to be breaking down physically, but hopefully not...

6. Thanks for the update, mix. Newman is my biggest concern,
given his injury history over the last couple of years.
