Dallas Cowboys: 9 1/2 wins Over or Under?

They get to play the AFC West this year, so that's a big plus.

The only non-division team with a winning record that they play on the road all year is Tampa in Week 1.

9. You constantly ignore Ladell Betts. He is pretty good.

Portis also looked pretty good agaisnt the STEELERS first team defense. Haynesworth is gonna give the Skins probably the best Defense in the division. I think 10-11 wins is more than possible

NFL is a classic bounce league. Dallas declined to 9 wins in 2008, a big drop from 2007. That makes them likely to rebound in 2009.

Teams that win or lose 3 more games than the previous season have about a 65% tendency to revert closer to the previous level the following season. It's a simple system to use for betting the season win over/unders.

And it's the reason I think my 11-5 Dolphins will stumble this year, after merely 1 victory in 2007. They are the most obvious candidate for regression to the mean.

with the weak coaching staff, made weaker by being underminned by management, but a talented squad their record could be anywhere from 6-10 to 11-5. Really could go any way

When I was in the army, there was a small football pool I entered most weeks in 1979. I won a few times. A couple of other guys, who thought they knew more about football than I did, were PO'd that I should win a football pool.

All three of us hated the Cowboys. However, I was the only one smart enough not to bet against them.
