Besides the Republican party is there a more disgusting organization in America
other then the New England Patriots?

And when are we gonna put lazer eyed don't fuck with me Mr Referee lil tommy brady in a skirt so those big bad defensive lineman aren't allowed to hit him?

Maybe a journalist with integrity from the Boston area who frequents DU can check in and explain it to us. But no such person exists.

4. Dude
Their coach is an admitted Cheater. They won games by cheating. I'm finding out where your moral compass points. The Patriots and the GOP both win by cheating, Dude.

I look forward to the Dolphins kicking the Saints Ass next week.

13. OK--- he cheated---
then---

So you think that Brady threw 6 TD's yesterday because Bill B. cheated 4 seasons ago?

As far as the Phins beating your Saint's ...it's gonna suck if they really do.

14. Oh please
not that tired old shit again.

You think they were the only team in the league to film plays?

And after they were discovered and their filming stopped, they still went 18-0 in 2007.

Hate Tom Brady if you want. Hate the entire team if it makes you feel better.

But it's time to drop the "they cheated" crap. The whole issue is over and done with.

3. Good point about "golden boy" Brady
I saw a similar hit to Kurt Warner a few minutes earler and no penalty was called. And that was the way it should have been. I usually do not believe in goofy conspiracy stuff, but there have been some strange calls and non calls this season to believe otherwise.
Woodson still hasn't commited pass interference in the end zone while intercepting a pass against the Favre led Vikings. Just one example of crappy officiating this year.

7. LOL

Yeah, putting your arm around the receiver and turning him isn't interference at all.

But besides, the Packers were offsides on that play and it wouldn't have mattered.

15. I just want to point out that the Pats have also
been on the receiving end of some pretty smelly penalties...quite a few of them happening in Indy with the Colts.

It really pisses me off, but then I figure, a truly GOOD team can overcome just about anything.

A good team makes a comeback after being behind most of the game. A good team plays well in spite of injuries (11-5 was better than I hoped for last season after Brady went down). And a good team can overcome bad calls by the officials.

About the only thing a team can't overcome is itself.

10. Super Star Treatment
It is not that the refs will not let defensive players hit Brady because he is soft; it is because he is a super star. It happens with other players in the NFL and other sports like the NBA. How many times have you heard someone talk about the fact that some of the big names in the NBA protected by the refs to the point where it seems opponents cannot even breath on them. It is mainly the same with Brady. He is a super star in the NFL. He might even be the biggest NFL superstar. In addition, it seems that some of this had to do with the fact that Brady had a season ending injury last year. It happens in all sports.

11. You do know that Robert Kraft is a donor to the Democratic Party right?
Edited on Mon Oct-19-09 07:40 AM by TZ
Unlike most NFL owners who are substantial Republican donors. So while I might not like the Pats as a football team I am far from ready to labeel them the most disgusting organization.

18. Doesn't surprise me the Bidwells(Cardinal's owners) are republicans
Edited on Mon Oct-19-09 02:16 PM by JonLP24
Interesting though that Michael Bidwell donated to Harry Mitchell(The Democrat in my district).., Mitchell is kinda conservative for a Democrat but is liberal on issues such as health care and supports the current health care reform. Interesting though. It doesn't me either Billichick is a repub donar either but interesting list thank you.

Edit/ Surprised Berman is 100% for Democrats, now I'm no longer ashamed to be a Chris Berman fan. :D

Ok so I looked at who he donated to and it's 100% for Lieberman so I'm not so sure anymore.

16. Ummmm.....NAMBLA?
But that's just my opinion. Maybe some people think they're an OK bunch of dudes...better than the Patriots, even...

In any case, Tom Brady was the one who got injured and had to go through two surgeries and a staph infection to boot.

He didn't ask to be injured.

If the officials seem to be coddling him, why blame HIM?

19. The Vikings are a classless organization
They piped in amplified crowd noise behind the opposing team's bench for crying out loud. Why don't they just turn the lights on and off whenever their opponent is trying to pass?

20. All hyperbole aside -
Two points.

First, roughing the passer penalties are up across the league this year. Prior to yesterday's game, I believe the Pats had three calls for and three calls against. As a one man team, the Saints are probably the most vulnerable in the league to the loss of their QB.

Secondly, if the worst does happen, and Brees goes down, I am sure Scab Payton has a back up plan. Maybe he'll suit up himself? Because while cheating is poor sportsmanship, it can be punished, and the transgressor rehabilitated. Once a Scab, however, always a Scab.
