1. Remember the Arkansas-Florida game?
Edited on Sun Dec-06-09 05:10 PM by JonLP24
Are you going to post a thread "Washington beats New Orleans"?

2. No
Because I don't think there was a bad call in today's game. Disputed? Yes. Bad. No.

The Arkansas game had a phantom tripping call which everyone with a TV knows was a phantom call. There were no phantom calls or bad calls today in DC

3. I disagree
The left elbow was down clearly before the ball came out or 'started' to come out. I think the refs were focused on the right elbow.

5. If that call were made in the Redskins favor
it doesn't mean the Redskins would have won the game.

And The Saints didn't miss the field goal which would have iced the game for the Redskins on their home turf.

7. I think I may have a made a similar point
Such as Arkansas missing a FG then letting Florida score on the final drive which was clean meaning no penalties either way.

All those points I agree with but you must admit the refs messing up that fumble call greatly increased the Saints probability of winning. Either way--scoreboard and Saints won.

8. I don't agree the "refs" messed up the call
The refs made the call you agree with on real time. Nothing messed up with that. It was kicked upstairs for a booth review with camera angles etc. Either the original call was wrong or there was chicanery in the booth. I'll accept either conclusioin.

Worse case scenario for the visiting team - 11-1.

4. Bah. This team keeps finding novel ways to lose
This is the third week in a row they've blown it ( though with help today) and I'm tired of the "oh but they are playing better now"! Bullshit. This is the worst year ever:grr:

6. Hey TZ
baseball season is just around the corner. How bout those Nationals???

I can feel your pain, but the Skins looked extremely good today.

12. Historically, we can lose to the worst team in the league and beat the best. Look at 1972...
when we gave the Saints their only victory and then went to the Super Bowl!

9. I second what Bosshog said
Pitchers (including you know who) and catchers report in a little over two months. I am already stoked for baseball. Also, could there be a Stanley Cup in DC's future?

10. A Stanley Cup would be nice.
But these are the Caps we are talking about. No matter how good a regular season...They can't get past the Pens in particular...:banghead:
But I am stoked about the Nats...They should be competitive this coming year.

On the postiive side at least it looks like the Cowboys will lose...

13. The regular season is irrelevant and the NHL WANTED Crosby as the face of hockey -
that's why they didn't call a penalty when our guy was on a breakaway toward the Pens' goal.

11. The Washington pro football team got screwed
The man was down and that was no fumble. I am a totally neutral observer (Packers fan) so I have no dog in this fight, but the Washington team got robbed. Terrible call even on review.

14. they screwed themselves
by missing a 20 yard field goal that would have put the game away.
