I believe at the end of last year I said that the Washington Nationals were a much improved team and I thought it likely they would be a competitive team at about .500. Currently they are 12-10 and not that far out of the lead in a very competitive NL East. Their hitting is pretty good. The pitching is very much improved and their defense is pretty damn good. I realize its still early on but Stephen Strasburg is looking FANTASTIC in the minors and their best hitter, Ryan Zimmerman has not been particularly healthy so far. In other words, I think they can be better than even .500 as the season goes on. Laughing stock no more.

Far too soon to talk about .500 for the Natinals. You should just be happy they won't be the worst team in baseball again this year.
