1. That's great!
I like Izzo and think he is among the two or three best college coaches in America.

3. I know why this is
because every time I am in the Lansing area at Christmas, I am invariably there for the Big Day when he goes to Tripper's and plays his accordion to raise money for charity!

10. It's just so strange
He wears glasses and (though this may just be in my mind) a sweater vest, and he plays Christmas carols. The money goes to kids. He's not that great, but it is sort of cute. I guess there's not much to do on the long winter nights up in Iron Mountain.

13. And this is the beauty of college sports.
It's a fishbowl for sure. But you don't get even a moment to be a real person in the pro's. God bless him. He sounds like he has an inner dork. Don't we all?

4. At age 55
saying that Michigan State is where he'll spend his career is commitment. That or he should be committed. Way to go Tom!

7. I wouldn't call it class
He obviously couldn't get assurances about LeBron. It's called enlightened self interest.

8. Even if he went to the Cav's, TZ. He's still pure class.
Speaking for the Big Ten (not ACC mad). We would of hated to lose him.

9. I'm happy to hear that -- I think the college game fits him very well
and he's certainly among the very best in the game.
