1. Better pick-up than Colorado.
We've got ourselves another conference championship game.

4. thanks.
ESPN has not been very accurate throughout this. I'm assuming CSNBA is more reliable.

5. Larry Scott's jet just landed in Vegas -- perhaps UNLV is next

Just kidding--that would be a shock :) -- he's probably just there to play some dice and blow off some steam from the last few hectic days.

But Utah would be a great addition for the Pac-10, for basketball as well as football -- and also for Colorado, which right now is about 900 miles from the nearest Pac-10 school.

6. A person I went to high school with
is the starting running back for UNLV. I was on the same team he was in my Sophmore year but wasn't there long. Long story short, moving to and going to high school in Flagstaff and moving back to Mesa caused me to lose credits each time meaning I went to Flagstaff and went to 0 credits, then when I went back to Mesa I didn't carry any credits with me. Not sure whose fault it was but it would take summer school to gain the credits to graduate on time so I dropped out and got my GED within weeks.

I will say it was interesting taking the same keyboarding class I already passed in Mesa with the same teacher and she never went out of her way to say I already passed her class.

Ok that was kinda long but it's really a much longer story.

11. it could be official tomorrow
http://www.denverpost.com/ci_15310140

The University of Utah Board of Trustees will meet Thursday at 12:30 p.m. to accept an invitation to the Pac-10 Conference.

Earlier today, the Pac-10 invited Utah to become its 12th member and, perhaps, Colorado's new regional rival and travel partner. The Utah board will hold its meeting on the sixth floor of Rice-Eccles Stadium, similar to how Colorado announced its announcement Friday at Folsom Field, and a news conference is to follow.

Utah is leaving the Mountain West Conference, which has no exit penalty, and will be part of a football south division with Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, Southern California and UCLA.

"Certainly it'll be an asset having another league member in the mountain time zone and the Rocky Mountain region," Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn said. "No question they've continued to grow and build their program to be in the BCS bowl games in football, the Final Four in basketball and hosted the Olympics. They've continued to make progress."

12. Made official today..
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5298238

Now that Utah is with the big boys do you think that Orrin Hatch will give up his fight for the little-man and stop pursuing the BS Corporation of the BCS? I would be willing to bet that the BCS owners saw this as a great opportunity to shut up their biggest vocal opposition in Hatch who was from Utah. I really hope he doesnt go against his words but one can never tell what Repukelicans will do...
