my copy of Sean Payton's Book "Home Team" just came and
it is awesome. I am a Saints fan and have been since I first saw a sign in New Orleans in 65 saying, "Bring the NFL to New Orleans". I read the intro and in the first couple of sentences I felt tears coming. Here is what really is a good description of who the Saints are.

they were cheering for their team.
They were cheering for their city.
They were cheering for themselves.
And we were cheering right back at them.

I couldn't state better than the lines before that and those lines how I felt as I saw MY Saints win the Super Bowl. I highly recommend the book.

2. My landlady attended their first game.
She was pretty psyched!:bounce:

I'm a Pats fan, exiled in New Orleans. It was fun to watch the faithful fans celebrate. The Saints fans are probably the best, although the love for the Lions in Detroit is surprising, too. It's easy to root for a winner, but awesome to turn a loser around. We know about that, too.:hi:

3. we couldn't get tickets to the first game but we did for the 2nd one
against the Redskins. It was a dream to actually watch the NFL in my birth city. Saints didn't win that game but honestly we didn't have to win, just to have the Saints was enough of a win, but winning the Super Bowl with this real classy coach is pure heaven.
