LeGarrette Blount throws another punch, this time in Titans camp
NASHVILLE -- Tennessee Titans rookie running back LeGarrette Blount lost his helmet, then his head when he punched defensive lineman Eric Bakhtiari in the facemask at the end of a physical, intense practice Wednesday night.

Blount, who was suspended from the Oregon team last season when he punched a Boise State player following a nationally televised ESPN game, took exception to a defender ripping his helmet off as he pinballed off at least six tacklers.

The 6-foot, 247-pound power back went undrafted, likely as a result of teams being wary of the incident. But Blount felt he was justified for his punch this time.

"It's not like they hit me so hard my helmet got knocked off. They kept knocking my helmet off,'' Blount says. "I lowered my shoulder and they reached around the back of my head and pulled my helmet off.

To be fair scuffles in training camp are not that uncommon. I just found the story interesting considering who it is and probably the same reason it is being reported on by many sources. I saw the video and what was interesting about this time compared to last is he punched a player wearing a helmet while he was helmet-less. Last time it was the other way around.

4. He also punched Garrett Embry
who was his teammate trying to restrain him. He also tried to charge after Boise St fans and needed coaches and police to restrain him and forcibly remove him from the field. Unless it was truly offensive thing that was said to him you don't punch people if they antagonize you. Plus he had some comments of his own before the game so he should of expected a reaction if he didn't follow through on what he said he was going to do which was to win the game.

8. Considering a single punch can kill a person
I don't consider deserve for words that are said. I certainly will say it is deserved and won't feel sorry for the person if someone says something truly offensive to another person like a racial comment.

Oh and the near year long suspension Blount got--he deserved it.

13. Someone needs to tell that to Darnell Dockett
After the Texans PRE-SEASON game Darnell Dockett and Mario Williams were clearly trash talking after the game He took off Williams Texans hat and stomped on and walked away continuing to trash talk. Mario just picked up his hat, hugged Calais Campbell and that was that. It was all in good fun though obviously. No harm intended. Point is Dockett trash talks 24/7 but I'm willing to bet few people would attempt a sucker punch on him.
