How are they going to split the teams up or how would you like to see the teams split up? I haven't found anything that says how but then again I didn't kill myself looking.

Mine

Don "The Dawgfather" James Division (North)
Washington
Washington State
Oregon
Oregon State
California
Stanford

John McKay Division (South)
USC
UCLA
Arizona
Arizona State
Utah
Colorado

3. I've seen the North/South idea
similar to the way you have it. Then there's the zippper proposal, which is an East/West kind of thing:

West
Washington
Oregon State
Stanford
UCLA
Arizona State
Utah

East
Washington State
Oregon
Cal
USC
Arizona
Colorado

4. Would you support that?

It pretty much separates the rivals by division.

If they go with 8 conference games (rather than the current 9), it would be 5 set division opponents and the rival could be played on the last game of the conference schedule. Colorado and Utah never had a rivalry so I don't know about them. I suppose they will play each other to start one up. I suppose Utah will play BYU and Colorado will play Colorado State and that will be there rivalry game, albeit a non-conference one which Colorado already had with CSU before they joined.

7. I don't know
at first I thought an East/West split was the natural way to go, but the more I read about the zipper proposal the more I like it. For one thing, it puts an LA school in each division...a big deal because of the size of the SoCal media and recruiting market. Not surprisingly, everyone in the Pac-10 wants a part of LA. Also, all the old rivals would still play each other every year. Conference looks more balanced now and going forward under the zipper proposal as well.

Drawbacks include the possibility of rival schools playing each other on the final week of the season and then again the following week in the conference championship game. I guess they could move the date of the rivalry games, but that doesn't seem right..

I'll be happy no matter which way they align..2011 should be one exciting year.
