10. The NFL doesn't care how much it snows or rains on the fans during the regular season

Are you insinuating that they're only in it for the money?

7. Yup.
One of the things that was never brought up in 2000, though it should have been, was that Bush had worked a deal to build a roofless stadium for the Rangers in this day and age. The heat and humidity will always affect their attendance. Everyone knew it, and yet this obvious reality wasn't even brought up during the election. Bush was incompetent, as we all know, but we should have known much more about that incompetence before he was elected.

As for the Cardinals, I attended a few day games in early September in the late '80s and early '90s, when I actually live there. (Well, I mostly lived in Flagstaff, at the time, but I spent enough time in the desert to be acclimated.) Then, we visited in September a few years ago (I've lived in Oregon since '92), and went to a day game, and, oh man, but it was just miserable in the heat at Sun Devil Stadium. I probably wouldn't approve of how the new stadium was funded, but at least there is a roof.

6. That's AWESOME!
I have no idea whether or not the stadium is any good, but roofs and football don't mix.

8. Worse than no roof...
is buying a retractable roof and keeping it shut on a sunny October day, which is what the Colts did this past Sunday. Yes, it was a little warm for October, but it wouldn't be the first football game played with temperature in the 80s.

So there's at least several tens of millions of taxpayer dollars spent for nothing, in a state that can't afford to hire enough qualified teachers.
