Is Oregon #1 after the OSU/Wisconsin disaster?
How much fun can you have on a bye week?

1. Or Boise State.
We shall see.

Oregon certainly needed the extra time about now.

2. After last week, I had no idea I'd only have to wait one week.
Boise State wasn't getting near the respect in the AP that Oregon was.

Yes, they did, but they've been beating who they had to and with margin, YKWIM?

6. They had a choice?
Nobody wants to play them except the Mountain West.

7. Are you saying the Pac 10 wouldn't have welcomed them?

11. I heard the Pac 10 had concerns about Boise State
meeting "academic requirements". I think it's because Boise State is too far away from other schools and not a big enough market (either for TV revenue or recruiting).

12. If they took teams from Utah and Colorado, distance wasn't the issue.
The other factors, may well be in play.

It's just become bizarre to watch BSU play football in a conference with no competition at all.

3. No. Boise State or TCU will be.
Boise State 48 - San Jose State 0
TCU 31 - BYU 3

4. Talk about no respect.
:eyes:

TCU would have to bump three teams on that score. I don't think so.

10. Who says it was a disaster?
At least we won't have to deal with the Suckeyes getting their completely unworthy asses bent over in a national championship game AGAIN.

15. So what's the record...
...for teams getting to #1 and then getting beat the very next week? Kind of makes me nervous.

16. I've no idea.
The toughest part of the schedule is coming up, so they'll have to earn it to keep it.

17. I'm not sure but I'm guessing 2007.
That was the year I was hoping Arizona State would get the #1 spot. They were 8-0 before they went on the road to face Oregon. There was a lot of changes at the #1 spot and a lot of shakeups. There was a lot of shakeups at the top spots. USC lost to Stanford when they were #2, West Virgina, California, and Kansas lost at #2. Missouri beat Kansas to take #1. Then they lost to Oklahoma who was #3 before that til they lost to Colorado. LSU was #1 and they lost to Kentucky. I'm telling you that year was crazy.

18. I think it's pretty bad in the last 3 years.
Remember Ohio State a couple years ago. They were #1, got beat. Then everyone else got beat too and they were #1 again.
