Red Sox Fans - What's John Farrell like?...
Jays just named Boston pitching coach John Farrell as their new manager, replacing Cito Gaston.

I've never heard of him. Any thoughts?

1. Toronto fans will love this guy. The only problem is that he has never managed

on any level. Boston papers are saying Toronto wants him to bring along Toronto's young arms. He will excell at that. Anybody who could deal with Matsazaka will do well with anyone. And being with Francona all these years can only help. He will succeed yo there as long as fans don't expect to compete in a league with two teams that will buy their way to pennants. If Toronto (and with fans not turning out, it will be difficult) spends the money for decent hitters, they could compete for a wild card. I like Farrell and the Sox will miss him.
