Butler's luck, Kentucky's ( Billy Clyde Gillispie ) loss
Edited on Mon Apr-04-11 06:58 AM by era veteran
The drunken Gillispie was the worst hire in UK history. I know that asshole has a new job BUT anybody that buys that 'I quit Drinking' crap should hang out at Cheapside Bar. Maybe you can see him urinate on the kitchen stairs.

KICK SOME UCONN ASS Shelvin.
Named as the best Lexington High School player to come along since Jack 'Goose' Givens. Givens hung 42 on Duke in the '78 title game. Went to Bryan Station with # 2 son. He has a tough job tonight.

He committed to Butler in January 2008.
Only later did UK finally show interest, Ligon said.
"Even then, I never talked directly with Billy Gillispie," Ligon said of the Kentucky coach at the time. "It was real indirect, stuff like 'is (Mack) still committed (to Butler) if we say we're interested?'"
Mack stuck with Butler.

GO BUTLER

1. Givens only got 41 in the Duke game
Your source is unreliable!

I used error-free Wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Givens

I do hope that Butler kicks ass tonight though.

2. You ( and your people) are, of course right. Source was
my brain which has had about 6 of those TBI thingys. The Goose was golden that night.

Alas , no joy in Mudville but Butler had a great run. If they are back next year I'll start calling the Coach, Wizard.

Good to know about that Wiki being error free, hope he gets a Golden Glove Award.
