I'm a Steeler fan but the crowd showed poor class during pre-game

I've checked with a few people so I know I'm not the only one who heard it....

I noticed during the March of the MVPs that the crowd was very supportive and cheered for each winner except for the Dallas Cowboy MVP from Super Bowl 30 and also Tom Brady got his share of antagonism during the coin toss.

I can only assume that these two were singled out because they were responsible in part for the Steelers losing Super Bowl 30 (Cowboy MVP) and also the AFC Championship (Brady) last year.

It appears that the Steelers as a team and as individuals (Porter excepted) show an incredible amount of grace. It's just too bad that their fans can't follow the team in that respect.

I didn't know that fans had a code of conduct handed to them before the game. Of course they booed them. If I were there I would have booed them too. If the game were played in Texas and had mostly Dallas fans, the Steelers would have been booed throughout and I would expect nothing less. I don't think it's poor class as much as it's how fans react to their football enemies.

If Joe Montana had showed up I've had given him kudos even though he defeated my Bengals in the SB. As it is, I have less respect for him for NOT showing up. The guys who DID show up did so for the fans... at least the ones with enough class to appreciate such a historic gathering. It was terrific seeing all of those NFL greats last night -- even from teams I may loathe throughout the season, and that includes some Steelers. Speaking of which, where the hell was Bradshaw?

Don't know that I can argue with that reasoning esp. since he's been acknowledged enough for his performances over the years.

BTW, does the NFL have the MVP walk every year or was this something unique. If unique, why this year?

As a Steelers fan, I would consider it something of an insult to be called classy. Class is for golf and tennis.

Both during his intro and during the actual coin flip.

Why should a partisan crowd (rumors of a 70-30 split maybe higher) be excited about the NFL sticking its poster boy who is a major rival in the game for ceremonial reasons? I like Brady but to have him do the coin toss just plain stunk.
