Trinidad & Tobago fights Sweden to scoreless tie!
Big upset. This is Trinidad's first appearance at the World Cup and the smallest nation to compete. Even after Avery was expelled at the very beginning of the second half, causing Trinidad to play with 10 men for nearly the entire second half, they fought Sweden to a tie. Hislop blocked six shots on goal. Sweden controlled the ball, 60% of the time. Fascinating match.

1. That was an awesome game.
Sweden was really tough, and they were up a man half the game, but they couldn't crack the T&T defense.

3. They gave it to Dwight Yorke
He was good, but the goalie was the hero. http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/w/mom/s1.html

4. We should also mention
The central defender (Sancho I think his name is) and Carlos Edwards, who also both had great games!

Well done Trinidad, even though we English hope they do't play as well when we play them we are still happy both for Trinidad and for being top of the group.

6. Didn't they have a replacemnt goalie also? I think so. Oldest goalie...
to have a shutout. He's 37.

A great 'Victory'.
