1. Yeah, that big ten offense was just fucking awesome against
Arkansas today, especially the all world running back. From my perspective, The Big Ten does not own the SEC, the Big Ten owns the calls. Hog quarterbacks sucked; but. Socco was a fucking buffoon, floating back, chucking and hoping. Wisconsin should put that trophy in the fucking attic tomorrow.

2. ha...
could it be that Arkansas is one of the most overrated programs in college football, and lived up to expectations again today?

maybe Nutt should have taken that NE job after all. maybe Mustain will wise up and go somewhere to win...

we take the w's in the Big Ten as they come. And the national titles.

3. Yeah, Arkansas was so overrated
that they lost to 14 people on each side in a bowl game by three points. Mustain should transfer (to where?) What college would Mommy approve? Are you excepting the raping that Iowa took from Texas? I guess integrity from Zebras is no concern. Enjoy it Wisconsin. The pride will last a lifetime. Just like Dahmer's.

4. i accept losses without whining about the calls...
IA got beat by a better team.

Arkansas is overrated because they get rated in the top 10 after getting blown out by USC and winning one game against a decent team, before getting totally exposed by LSU. Their bowl performance seems to be about par for the course under Nutt. Mustain already realizes he made a mistake by following his coach to AR and hopefully he can save his career from permanent damage by Nutt. Wasn't there some other QB that left AR and is playing in the pro's now for the Vikings? While the guy that they started is now a mediocre WR on an also ran?

I'd like to see Mustain flourish in the Big Ten. I regret that he will most likely rot in Arkansas. Arkansas seems to crank out decent linemen, allowing some young men to shine for a moment at running back (before going nowhere in the pros) a la McFadden. This season may have put off the calls for Nutts job for a little while, but next year will be a return to 5-6 wins and mediocrity in the less than stellar SEC west.

Maybe they can get Nolan back and at least be respectable in B-Ball again...

5. Yeah Matt Jones is a mediocre wide receiver???
just like you are a mediocre judge of talent. Please, Wisconsin, take Mitch Mustain, he needs the zebra love.

No IA did not get beat by a better team, neither did Arkansas. No doubt bush "beating" gore is just fine and fucking dandy with you.

Arkansas did not get rated in the top ten after losing to USC. Exposed by LSU? Fish fumbles a punt in the endzone. Please k-jerome, get a job on Fox Sports. McFadden is playing in the pros? The SEC west outshines the Big Ten year in and year out and will continue to do so. Arkansas 5-6 next year. Are they playing 11 games in the best conference in footbal, the SEC?

Oh and thanks for the suggestion that Arkansas rehire a racist whiner as coach of the basketball team. You wacky Iowa guys crack me up.

K-jerome, please ask hannity to be your co-host.

7. yeah he is. a homer may not think so...
wait a few years. he'll be gone.

bush and gore are playing football next year? for who?

and whining about calls instead of accepting your team was beaten is definitely the way to go. keep it up. you carry it to a whole new level.

when did i say mcfadden was playing in the pros?

the best conference in football is getting its ass whooped by the Big Ten. whats up with that? surely Florida will reverse that. LOL.

Hannity shares your view of Nolan, not mine. they've done well since he left though. how many trips to the NCAA? how many titles? scratch that, how many sweet 16's? ha.

what ever happened to cedric cobbs? oh, he's got that bad ass from the Big Ten in there taking over doesn't he? along with that dude that keeps winning Super Bowls, Tom Brady, another bad ass from the Big Ten.

better stick to track and field. now thats a dynasty.

21. Now BOSSHOG, you know full well.....
that if you'd lighted that candle for Michigan to win, that both Michigan and Arkansas would have won!

As far as the Big Ten owning the refs, you apparently didn't see the Alamo Bowl this year or last?

Iowa got SCREWED.

there were two atrocious calls. Even my dad, who never complains about the refs, commented that they weren't going to let Iowa win. And we are not from Iowa. We just have eyes.

Texas won on a bad call last year too.

24. Well, by that logic, teams that win by one score after benefting from a bad call
shouldn't accept the win.

My dad is a coach and I've watched plenty of games in my lifetime, believe me. I've learned a few things along the way about officiating, most notably, that officials can be lobbied and that they love the "supah stahs". Nowhere is this more evident than in basketball, where I've actually heard announcers say that rookies need to pay their dues to earn calls. NO! There are RULES!!! They shouldn't favor one player over another, no matter who he is. It's so unethical.

Iowa knocked the Texas guy out of bounds with 56 seconds left, and they didn't stop the clock. It cost Iowa a chance at a win. If you don't think the win or loss matters, then fine, but at the very least that should have been reviewed. Now that there is replay in college sports, it is inexcusable that the officiating crew didn't at least look it over.

I've also done a small amount of officiating in my time. You wouldn't believe what people feel they are entitled to get away with. No one wants to play by the rules.

26. By your logic, the refs don't matter
so people should be on an honor system! For example, the Texas player should have stated that he was out of bounds, and they should have stopped the clock.

29. Except I didn't have a horse in that race, and I didn't hear Iowa complain
I am not a partisan of either school.

That said, I think it's more important to be a gracious WINNER than a gracious loser. And, if you won by the benefit of a bad call, the "classy" thing would be to admit it!

32. LSU exposed Arkansas?
Arkansas loses to what is obviously a very talented LSU team by less than a touchdown. Brilliant observation. Wisconsin wins by a field goal. I'd call it more like renting for five minutes than "owning". And your "over-rated" comment is just inane. Arkansas was picked to finish fourth in the SEC West. They won it. I'd call that achieving beyond expectations. If they had won less than seven games, then the preseason hype would make them over-rated. Anything more than eight wins, and they played better than was projected.:think:before... Thanks.

6. If OSU doesn't follow the trend,
the sports media (at least the Bowl coverage today) is indicating that because of the defeats of Arkansas and Tennessee, if Michigan beats USC in the Rose Bowl and Florida beats OSU, they are going to vote Michigan #1.

Florida is so weak however. LSU was the best team in the Conference, and they had many holes at that. OSU will roll.

11. I don't think so
A 12-1 Wisconsin team beating a 9-4 Arkansas team 17-14 is owning the SEC? Change one play in that game, and the two conferences split. BTW, the SEC has something like a 54-34 record against the Big Ten in bowl games. How can you own a conference you have a losing record against?

When you think about it, comparing conferences based on bowl games is a hit and miss affair at best. It all depends on the matchups. Look at the Big East. The ESPN guys were bragging about their bowl record, but they played teams such as East Carolina, Wake Forest, Ga Tech, Kansas State, and Central Michigan.

I think the SEC and Big Ten are the best conferences, but neither will have a great bowl record because of the matchups.
And, the only reason the Big Ten went 2-0 in the two Florida bowls today was because a very good Wisconsin team played a not so good, fading fast (3 losses to end the season), 4-loss Arkansas team that had some injury and internal problems at the end of the season.

34 out of 58 times. Two games in conferences that have 23 total teams don't mean shit. Are you new to college football?

14. its this year...
this thing happens every year between these conferences.

which conference will win the title this year? which conference will run the table against the other in the bowls?

hang onto that 34 out of 58 though. when i'm losing in the present, i like to pull out the old Michigan is the winningest college football program in history with nary an SEC team in the top 5. but i like to point out the present season, where the Big Ten is undefeated against the SEC in bowl games and will whip an SEC team to add another national title.

but you got your 34. it'll tide you over until next year, when hope begins anew. too bad 'Bama is down. take them out of the picture and the title history is pretty slim.

the Big Ten will take the title. Happy off season. Hope springs eternal.

Big Ten: Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Trent Green

SEC: Peyton and Eli Manning, Rex Grossman, Jay Cutler, Jason Campbell

definitely opinion here, but i'll take the Big Ten qb's for the Super Bowls (Brady) and potential Super Bowls (Brady, Brees). Chokers go to SEC (Mannings)
