What I really want to happen in the Super Bowl (scenario involves Bears win)
I would like Rex Grossman to get (mildly) injured partway through the game. Then, I would like Brian Griese to step in and drive his team to a victory. Griese is named MVP! That'll teach Peyton to mess with Michigan guys (hell, it took an interception from a Michigan player, Marlin Jackson, to cement Indy's win over the Patriots).

Then perhaps the Lions will finally notice, PRIOR TO THE DRAFT, that some of the best football talent in the league is 45 minutes down the road and frequently turn up as SuperBowl MVPs. They'll start drafting Michigan players and go on to success. And we won't have to live with a guy who played at Florida winning the Super Bowl. And Peyton Manning will still have the Florida monkey and the Michigan monkeys on his back.

2. Lisa, Lisa, Lisa
Few things in life are sure. Death, taxes and Matt Millen fucking up a draft. If Peyton has a monkey on his back, Matt has the whole zoo weighing him down.

3. LOL---Griese is a perennial back-up quarterback
If he was some of the best talent then why does he ride the pine every season? BTW: The kid was born in Florida where the real football talent comes from.

4. Griese started for Denver for years
Pretty good for guy who was originally a walk on at Michigan (was offered a scholarship after his first year) and was never expected to start there either. But he did, was Rose Bowl MVP, and has gone on to a 10 year career in the NFL which is far better than some of his highly touted counterparts. Like Ryan Leaf who is out of pro football, for instance.

6. LOL---and what happened to him at Denver?
He got shipped and since then he's been nothing more than a back-up.

5. Wait a second
Your critique is highly unwarranted. He played for Michigan in the most powerful force in the universe, THE BIG TEN CONFERENCE. Chicago obviously has a secret plan. Griese is their secret weapon, their potential energy.

11. That's right -- Michigan players are everywhere!
All the more reason for top recruits to pick Michigan -- players make it to the NFL and often to the Super Bowl.

12. Look, if Grossman would have cooperated, it would have worked!
At some point, since Lovie was obviously too stubborn or loyal to yank him, he should have faked an injury. Then, it would all have unfolded as I wished.

Geeze, Dungy is from the state of Michigan and the Lions overlooked him when he was available. I always say it's good I'm not really young and vulnerable to the tattoo craze. I would probably have Fire Millen tattooed on my chest or something.
