1. Is this game going to start, already?
I thought it started 40 minutes ago.

9. LSU butt whipped OSU
WTF happened? OSU gets a touchdown broken up and a field goal blocked and it took
them 2 + quarters to wake up?

No doubt that LSU is the better team .... I am sad that OSU did not put up a better fight.

see you on 9/13/08 ..... but Ohio State starts w/ Youngstown State & than Ohio U ...

7. Nothing like a home fucking advantage.
Why not have a championship game OSU vs. LSU in Cleveland.

Assholes.

10. Florida kicked OSU's ass in Arizona last year.
Some other SEC team will kick their ass in Miami next year. Playing OSU is easy compared to a weekly dose of SEC brutality. Just ask the NFL scouts.

12. Or, for Florida at least...
it's easier than playing a team that lost to Appalachian State. ;-)

13. National Champions win anywhere. Who's house it is doesn't matter.
OSU did have a number of unsportsmanlike calls against them, but they were all obviously blatant infractions that would and should have been called anywhere, anytime.

I don't think "home cookin'" made OSU blatantly pull the facemask of the LSU receiver, yanking his head around 180 degrees (nor did it make him gain the 20 yards or so he had already gained on the play).

I don't think the Superdome made OSU's defender knock over the LSU punter (at a crucial point in the game), or another push down another Tiger after he was out of bounds (again, after a significant gain). Those were just stupid moves.

I don't think the aura of New Orleans (unless it was a bad Sunday night out in the Quarter) made Craig Heyward's son repeatedly punch an LSU player in the face at the end of a play.

It wasn't about place. It was about composure. LSU fell behind early, but never lost their composure. OSU lost their early lead, and lost their composure, and the game.

15. Nice call trumad, but I wasn't blown away by Dorsey
Good player but he's not even close to a Jerome Brown or Warren Sapp-type talent. I taped the game and watched him play after play and now I'm seriously questioning if Miami should identify Dorsey at #1. For one thing, a young player shouldn't have that much blubber, pre-contract. Just imagine what his torso might look like once he's got millions. A young Sapp was comparatively sleek, and in the backfield every play. This guy disappears for long stretches.

I had OSU +6.5. All year I take the team higher in the preseason ratings and in the finale I got stuck with #17 vs. #2 due to some statistical crap. And it felt like crap to be on the wrong side, with nowhere to escape.

Preseason ratings were awesome per usual. Sporting News #1-#4 dominated in bowl games -- USC, LSU, Michigan, West Virginia.

16. I focused him to
but I noticed double and sometimes triple team assignments against him. He clogged the middle for sure.

Jerome Brown and Warren Sapp were special at Miami.

That said, my Phins need a big guy on the D-Line....

17. Ohio football......
Anyone remember the halftime the the Ohio band did at halftime of their game vs Florida? It was a tribute to The movie... Titanic.

Wonder what happened this year? I expected them to do a tribute to The Hindenburg.
