He wins a 4th in a row Buick Invitational Trophy...Tiger got so many new cars, the prize car goes to his Swimming pool cleaner.

Imada, scoring 2 birds on the last 2 holes, gets a second all by himself.

Woods used a rare 3 in a row Bogey card on the last nine.....almost a 24 under tournament.....awesome.

1. Yeah, I was wondering about the absence of a thread
Let me guess, if he lost by 8 there would be multiple threads.

And what happened to the nonsense that Federer was more dominant than Tiger?

That was always a joke. For one thing, it's much more difficult to dominate golf than tennis. One racket. Same length. Very little variety. Beating a field of 150+ instead of 7 players one at a time, always as a huge favorite in the individual matches. Besides, in golf with a long wand and tiny ball there's so many more things that can go wrong. Your driving can be at peak simultaneous to your putting all screwed up, or the reverse, and in either case you're struggling, particularly in a major.

As I posted last time the topic came up, no one will be shocked if someone comes along in a decade and surpasses Federer's records and performance level. But in Tiger Woods you're looking at someone who will be an all time legend centuries from now. Tapes of his efforts will be prized possessions. We're living it now so enjoy the surreal performer.

7. Federer Still Better
Federer is still better in that it is still harder to beat someone who can hit the ball back at you. In addition, before the Australian Open Federer has something like a ten tournament or ten grand slam win streak. I doubt it was a ten grand slam win streak, but he still had some type of ten tournament win streak. Has Tiger ever done anything like that. In addition, Federer plays number of tournaments a year. Federer has already played 691 singles tournaments and also plays in doubles tournaments. He has played in 175 of those. In addition, Federer has won Wimbeldon five times in a row. I do not think Tiger has ever won any golf major four time in a row. In addition, Federer has won the U.S. Open four times in a row.

I do not dislike Tiger. I think he is a great golf player. However, I think what Federer has done is more impressive than Tiger in that Federer has to play against actually opponents and other issues.

8. 691 singles matches, you mean
not tournaments. Yes, federer is awesome, but he is dominating a reduced sport, and someone dominates tennis every decade, in 2018, someone else will be winning everything. In ten years, it is likely tiger will still be a force on tour. And I would argue it is harder to dominate when your actions are not directly relevant to anyone else's actions.

2. He caught Arnold Palmer in wins with 62,
eleven years younger in age (32) than when Arnie won his last PGA Tour victory.

Next on the list: Ben Hogan at 64. Nicklaus at 73. And Sam Snead at 82.

6. Yup, shit happens so enjoy while we can..Truly a joy to watch him sink a 65 footer on a cross slope
His string of amazing shots over the past years boggle the mind....

One by one, Tiger conquers them all. Top Golfers and Tough Courses, he smokes um amd makes it look easy at the same time.

Time after time he beats the field by multiple strokes....yesterday...at one point he led by 11 strokes...that is mind boggling.

We are so fortunate to witness this Treasure to the Game.
